Headed out New Years Day 2014 with Desert Wranglers Jeep Club for a ride down the Burro Wash Trail. This is a fairly easy trail (stock Jeeps can run it) with just a few rough washed out sections. The views are amazing, and ending at the river is never bad. Check out Dirtopia.com for all the dirty details. Thanks Richard Sese for tagging along and taking some of the video.
Today is a sad day as we say goodbye to a wonder gentle soul Chopper. Chopper came to us when he was 3 months old (Shar Pei mix) and was a rescue puppy. Everyone always asked why we named him “Chopper” and the answer was simple, that what they said his name was when we got him. So we didn’t feel the need to change it, and the name fit him! Everybody loved chopper as he was a super sweet friendly dog and brought much joy to our household. But sadly the evil clock was ticking away and Chopper was getting older, and with age his body began to fail him.
He will be greatly missed by us… godspeed my friend.
I wanted to record some footage with my new GoPro video camera, so Colleen and I took a ten minute jaunt down the road to Bootleg Canyon in Boulder City, NV.
Bootleg Canyon is a groomed mountain bike park with incredible trails and at the top of the road you get great views of Boulder City and The entire Las Vegas valley. And the zip-lines are awesome!
Boulder City is an awesome place to visit (not just to gawk at the giant chunk of cement blocking the Colorado river). They have some great sidewalk cafe’s and restaurants that actually are quite popular and get very crowed on hot evenings. Image below is Mimi’s Wine Cellar, and we also really like a place called The Dillinger (great wings and burgers!). FYI, Boulder City has “No” gambling [crazy eyes].
